With type 1 diabetes, I am always looking for practical and stylish ways to store my supplies. Recently, I designed a needle dispenser that fits perfectly on the Ikea Skadis wall. This dispenser is not only functional, but also a fun addition to my space. In this blog post, I will take you through the different parts of the dispenser and the steps to put it together. Mounting options
Although the needle dispenser is specially designed for the Ikea Skadis wall, it can also be easily mounted to the wall. This can be done with double-sided tape or screws, allowing you to use the dispenser in different places in your home.
What do you need?
The needle dispenser consists of six parts:
- Hooks: Two hooks that can be hung on the Skadis board.
- Base Unit: The base on which everything is mounted and which can easily be attached to the hooks on the Skadis board.
- Pins: Four pins to secure the base to the hooks.
- Wheel: A wheel that can be slid into the base unit.
- Handle: A handle that can be easily pressed into the wheel.
- Logo: A logo that holds everything together as a whole.
The needle dispenser is now fully assembled and ready to use! This practical design keeps your needles organized, safe and within reach.
